Contest Rules & Information
Chile Contest
Registration for the Chili contest will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on the west patio of Cowboy Hall. Judging will commence inside Cowboy Hall at 3:00 p.m., with awards to follow.

Bring your favorite homemade chili dish in one of the following categories:

Green Chile with Meat

Green Chile without Meat
-
Red Chile with Meat
-
Red Chile without Meat
-
Chile appetizer
-
Salsa
-
Any other (you get to use your imagination here)
Remember all entries must use RED or GREEN chile.​
Only one entry per person, per category. Entries requiring cooking must be cooked prior to entry. Bring 1 pint of each entry. Each entry must be brought thoroughly chilled! If your chili needs to be heated, we will microwave before judging. The judges will award one "Best of Show" out of the seven first place winners and the lucky recipient will receive a beautifully chosen prize.
Corn Hole Contest
See schedule for registration and start times! Prizes in seven categories: Men, Women, Mixed, Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles, Juniors (12-16 yrs.), and Youth (11 and under).
Greased Pole Climb
See schedule for registration and start times! Come try to climb our pole! Sounds easy BUT add a whole lot of grease and it becomes tricky! There will be a prize waiting for the first person to reach the top of the pole! Only one person at a time allowed on the pole!
Youth Pet Parade
Check the schedule for times! Kids - bring your favorite pet and make him/her a costume: dog, snake, cat, turtle, etc. Costumes must be made by the children and age will be taken into consideration for awards. There will be a grand prize for the Best Overall Pet and Human Duo! Categories are: most imaginative, most exotic, best dressed, and funniest dressed.
Women's Rolling Pin Throw
In the arena after kids' races - check the schedule! Women 18 years and older...come test your throwing ability!
